Jessi and Daniel celebrated their first year of marriage. I stayed at their wonderful apartment the night before and we drank beer and watched their wedding video. I wish, more then anything, that I could have been there at their wedding. But, watching it was the next best thing. I sat with them as they laughed and cried over the video. I cannot even imagine what it must feel like to have made it through the first year of marriage; still in love and excited about the many more years to come. 

I love this little couple so so very much. No matter the amount of time we have spent apart...as soon as we are together again our friendship just falls right back into place.

 {Johanna's apartment}

I spent Sunday afternoon and evening with Johanna and Tobias at their magnificent Frankfurt loft apartment. They day proved to be quite rainy and cold and so we spend the day inside....eating "American" pancakes and watching movies that we projected on a huge white wall.
When I saw Johanna for the first time (during this visit) I was so struck by how different she was!I can't believe it has been about four years since she spent a year living in Michigan with us. She just has really matured in to such a wonderful woman. She is currently working towards becoming a dentist!
