{Wolfgang and Hilde}
I woke Monday to a heavy rain. After a typical German breakfast, Tobias and Johanna put me on a train that took me through the winding green valleys of the German countryside to the town of Limburg.
I'm so fond of trains. Everything about them.
It is just such a peaceful and carefree way to travel. I listened to John Coltrane for the hour train ride...all the while wishing that the train ride would never end.
I took so many photos during this particular portion of my trip...and I have decided to post them not in the order in which they happened. This trip was especially special...I'll explain it all in posts to come.
This is a collection of photos that I took on the day that I spent with Wolfgang. Hilde teaches flute lessons once a week and so Wolfgang and I had the entire day to ourselves. He had been talking about his favorite cafe, Baumann, since I had arrived. And so we went to Baumann and stuffed ourselves with coffee and various cakes. We talked about politics, history, the bible, what it means to believe in God, how there is a difference between wisdom and knowledge, the beauty in doing what you love and the importance of overcoming fear. Wolfgang is so filled with wisdom. And he lucky for me, he shares it freely. I enjoyed this day so much.
