Ich bin in Deutschland!
From the very start of my London excursion, I have been so excited about the possibility of returning to Germany.
I was such a different person when I last visited. Sixteen and somewhat apprehensive, I spent a month in Frankfurt with the beautiful Schutrumpf family...and I fell in love with them all. I loved movie nights with Jessi and Daniel. I loved going in to the city with Johanna. I loved teasing Lukas and listening to him play the piano. I loved how little David would try to teach me new German words. I loved when Michael would try and explain German grammar to me. I loved when Kirsten would hug me good morning. And yet, when the month was over, I was more than ready to return home to my family, friends and boyfriend (at the time).
And now, I've been in Europe for four months and I can't get enough of my life here. Sometimes I feel as if I could stay for forever.
I can't express how wonderful it feels to be spending time with a family whom I adore.
